great site phil, about time. alas, i have run out of Essenza this morning, otherwise i'd critically review my own kitchen in there, here goes anyway, coffee - 5, food - 4 (it varies, it was a 5 on saturday night when i cooked my crayfish risotto), ambience - 4 (3 if the dishes aren't done).
Nelson, you cooked crayfish risotto ?? Please tell me you are a single lady and you want to marry me!!I do love coffee but, well, a cold beer on a hot afternoon after mowing the lawn, sweat pouring down your face, the ice cold beer intermingled with small flakes of ice...mmmmmmIn the words of Benjamin Franklin "Beer is proof God loves and wants us to be happy" Amen!

marcus, well i am not a lady, that's for sure, and just incase that doesn't put you off, i'm not that single either! yes crayfish risotto, use lots of lemon - even a lime if you can get hold of one but i ran out of time doing my shopping so a lemon had to suffice. 4 crayfish was enough to feed 6 people, although there were generous helpings of fresh asparagus and snow peas in there as well. it was fantastic, mix well with a few imported lagers and a glass of Moet et Chandon to top it off, it was a good night. anyway, back to the coffee... espresso is proof that God loves us and wants us to be awake!!

it's amazing what a little goat herder from Ethiopia unleashed on the world bc. To think some strange individuals 'don't like the flavour of coffay' (said with a whingy scouse drawl), for God sake come to your 'five senses' people!

PS: what sort of coffee do we have at RV cafe. Maybe we should up the ante and submit a review to Australian coffee magazine.
Auckland Gurl
We have Gloria Jeans at our church... Havent heard any compliants there.
Lionfish
Couldn't see Starbucks in the Cafe ratings section. Obviously either not a comprehensive magazine or else they only deal with more coarse (lower) grades of coffee. By the way - I have it from a good source that "Krispy Kreme" donuts are now in Sydney. The perfect complement to your SB coffee.

lionfish, i am sure that the good people from crema magazine would not lower themselves to review such swill as starbucks. it would be like asking the guys from cuisine magazine to pop down to macca's to review a quarter pounder. by the way, a quarter pounder does not weigh a quarter of a pound. in fact, the patty it self weighs a mere 88grams (thankyou to steve kinnane on HACK show, Triple J). now there's a conspiracy for you!!!

re previous comment, to review starbucks coffee in crema magazine would be like asking the gents from Cigar Afficionado to bend over in the gutter and suck on an old butt to give it a review. better yet, asking the drivers from Christophorous magazine to compare a daewoo to the latest Carrera GT3. How about asking the writers from Luxury traveller to take a cruise across the Timor sea on a people smuggling boat. i'm on a roll here...
No, No, back to beer. "A woman drove me to drink and I didn't even have the decency to thank her" W.C.Fields;"He was a wise man who invented beer" Plato; "Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza" Dave Barry. Shall I go on ...??
You do !!! "Give me a woman who loves beer and I will conquer the world" Kaiser Wilhelm.

Ah, coffee... back in my conservative SDA days, any caffeine-based beverages were considered contraband (“Satan juice” was a fond Coke label amongst the youth)… if you partook of the Dark Drinks you didn’t advertise it (*buuuuurp*)… as for beer Marcus – you’d go directly to hell, do not pass ‘GO’, do not collect $200… thank the great maker for more enlightened times, and Churches with them.
